Privacy Policy for Quizzy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Quizzy application (hereinafter referred to as the ”Application”) created by Quizzy(hereinafter referred to as the ”Service Provider”) as a Freemium service. The service is provided ”AS IS”.

  • Personal Data: When you create an account or log in, we collect your name and email address.
  • Active Location Data: Since Quizzy is a location-based game, your device’s geographic position is tracked and collected while you are playing. This is necessary for the game mechanics to function (e.g., to determine when you are at a specific checkpoint).
  • Technical Information: The Application automatically collects information such as your IP address, device operating system, and how you interact with the Application (time spent and pages visited).

Storage and Firebase

The Service Provider uses Firebase (a Google service) as a database to store and manage user data. This includes your profile, game results, and personal information to ensure your data is accessible across different devices.

How We Use Your Information

The information is used to:

  • Provide the Service: Facilitate gameplay and account management.
  • Location Services: Geographic data is used to deliver game-related content based on your position.
  • Analysis and Improvement: Anonymised data helps us understand user behaviour and improve app performance.
  • Communication: We may use your email to send important notices or information regarding the service.

Third-Party Access

Only aggregated and anonymised data is periodically transmitted to external services to help us improve the Application. We use the following third-party providers:

  • Google Analytics for Firebase
  • Firebase Crashlytics

We may also share information when required by law, to protect our rights, or in cases of suspected fraud.

We use third-party providers, including Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, Unity Ads, and Vungle (Liftoff) to display advertisements in our app. These networks may use cookies or similar tracking technologies (such as Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA)) to collect non-personal data about your interests and behaviours. This ensures that the ads displayed are relevant to you. You can manage your ad tracking preferences at any time via your device settings.

Your Rights and Data Deletion

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request the correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request Deletion: If you wish for us to delete your account and associated data (name, email, and history) from Firebase, please contact us at info@quizrundan.se.

You can stop all collection of information at any time by uninstalling the Application.

Security

We implement technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access. We use industry standards to ensure your data is handled securely within our cloud-based systems.

Children’s Privacy

The Application is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we discover that such information has been collected, it will be deleted immediately.

This Privacy Policy may be updated as needed. We will notify you of any changes by updating the date below. Your continued use of the Application constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
